ST. PAUL, MN—Rep. John Petersburg, R-Waseca, issued the following statement congratulating the 2014 Farm
Families of the Year from District 24A. The Farm Family Recognition Program is coordinated by the University of Minnesota Extension; the College of Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resources Sciences; and the College of Veterinary Medicine and recognizes families from Minnesota’s 87 counties who have made significant contributions to Minnesota agriculture and their communities. The 2014 Farm Family Recognition Program will be held on Thursday, August 07th at Farmfest.
“I want to congratulate the family of Brent and Lianne Possin from Waseca County, and Starks & Sons from Steele County on being recognized as Farm Families of the Year. Our community relies heavily on agriculture to power our local economy, and that simply wouldn’t be possible without the hard work and community dedication that these families, and many like them, embody on a daily basis. Our community is proud of your achievements and nomination for this program.”
