Today Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation President Tim Penny joined me at a Minnesota House Agriculture and Food Policy and Finance Division hearing in St. Paul. Penny spoke in favor of my bill that would appropriate $25,000 each year for grants to the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation so it can sponsor the “Feast! Local Foods Marketplace” event, which connects food producers and processors with potential customers.
